Exploring... Children's physical activity levels
UK physical activity guidelines recommend that all children and young people (aged 5-18) should engage in moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity for at least 60 minutes and up to several hours per day.This fact sheet takes a look at the major health surveys for each of the home nations to paint a picture of how much physical activity children and young people in the UK are doing.
All the surveys also split the findings into boys and girls to show any gender differences.
