Exploring... Older adults’ physical activity levels
UK physical activity guidelines recommend that over a week, older adults should be active for at least 150 minutes (2½ hours) of moderate intensity activity in bouts of ten minutes or more. This fact sheet highlights the facts and figures from across the UK's four major health surveys to show how active older people (over 65) are.
The fact sheet also looks at different age groups within older people to show how physical activity patterns change as people age.
