The RE-AIM Framework
The RE-AIM (Reach Effectiveness Adoption Implementation Maintenence) framework, developed at Virginia Tech University, is designed to help practitioners, researchers and programme evaluators translate findings from their programme into practice.
RE-AIM looks at the:
- reach the programme has to the target population
- efficacy or effectiveness of the programme
- adaption of the programme by the target staff, setting or organisations
- implementation consistency, costs and adaptations made during the delivery
- maintenance of the intervention effects in individuals and settings over time.
The RE-AIM website provides an explanation of the framework, frequently asked questions, links to publications which have used the framework and other resources and tools to help practitioners and researchers use the framework.
For more information on the framework and how to use it effectively visit the RE-AIM website.
