Evaluating Sport and Physical Activity Interventions

This guide, written by Dr Lindsey Dugdill and Professor Gareth Stratton, is designed for practitioners who want a concise overview of how to evaluate a sport or physical activity intervention. It discusses principles of good practice for designing evaluations and suggests tools that might be used.

It includes an introduction to the Re-Aim Framework as wel as introducing the different stages of an evaluation. These include planning, conducting measurement (including the a description of the different available tools), analysis of the data and sharing the results in an appropriate and timely fashion.

While this guide does not describe in detail the complexity of the evaluation process, it provides a good introduction to the methods and measurements which can be used.
