Evaluation in health - Promotion principles and perspectives
This e-book, published by the World Health Organization (WHO), is aimed at researchers, students, practitioners, policy makers and others who want an in-depth understanding of the current issues in evaluating health promotion initiatives.
It is divided into five parts:
- Introduction and framework for health promotion evaluation
- Perspectives
- Settings
- Policies and systems
- Synthesis and conclusion.
Each part contains chapters that identify key issues, discuss theory and best practice and makes suggestions for policy makers and practitioners. The book provides an overview of the issues those in health promotion face when planning and carrying out interventions and options that are available through different evaluation methods.
