We all know we should try and be active, but do you really know why? 

Being active reduces the chance of developing many diseases such as cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes. This fact sheet gives the facts and figures on how much being active decreased your disease risk as well as highlighting how much physical activity adults should be doing every week.

Don't forget - being active doesn't just help physical health. It can also help mental health conditions such as depression and dementia.
